Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science

The Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science (AACDS) is a Registered Training Organisation established in 2003 to meet the education and training needs of the cosmetic nursing and dermal therapy professions. The college has developed new and innovative accredited qualifications to address the absence of formal training in cosmetic nursing field and to bridge the gap between traditional beauty services and advanced dermal therapy techniques. The objective of all AACDS qualifications is to improve the safety and efficacy of cosmetic nursing/dermal therapy services in Australia such as laser, intense pulsed light, chemical peels, skin needling and cosmetic injectable procedures. As an unregulated industry with rapid technological advances, there is a strong need for formal training qualifying professionals specifically in this field.

AACDS delivers a range of nationally accredited qualifications suitable for Division 1 (Registered Nurses) and 2 (Enrolled Nurses), beauty therapists, doctors and allied health professionals. Candidates can select from online or on-campus (Perth and Gold Coast) modes with practical competencies delivered only within full-functional cosmetic medical practices in Perth, Sydney, the Gold Coast and Melbourne. Practical training is delivered in a quality-learning environment of only two students per trainer/assessor. On completion of a qualification through AACDS, graduates will have access to the AACDS Recruitment site which will assist them in locating employment in the cosmetic medical field. Course payment options include per unit, VET Fee-Help and payment plans.
