CPD Courses
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a requirement imposed on health professionals in Australia which reflects an expectation that health professionals need to ensure their knowledge and skills stay up to date and reflect current technology, research and best practice.
Health practitioners in Australia are regulated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and AHPRA in conjunction with a number of profession specific National Boards (such as the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) set the CPD requirements that health professionals need to comply with in order to maintain their registration to work in their chosen profession. 20 hours of CPD training per year is the typical requirement for health professionals in Australia.
