About the Role
You are an experienced clinician with advanced knowledge in the management of clients with acute health care needs. This role will be responsible for the collaboration and coordination of human resources, clinical care and health service delivery and management of incidents and/or emergency situations that occur after hours.
- Coordination of SVCHS emergency after hours response, in collaboration with Corrections Victoria.
- Human resources management including operational management of staff on duty, absence arrangements and clinical support.
- Liaison and escalation, when required, with SVCHS Manager On-call and On-call Medical staff or SVCHS Operations Manager/Director of Nursing Port Phillip Prison.
Classifications for this position will be ZC5 ($130,582.40 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution- Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
- Advanced clinical skills, knowledge and experience, including medical response, astute assessment skills and preemptive managment of the deteriorating patient.
- Experience in the managment of a clinical unit, ward or department.
- Effective leadership and mentoring skills are essential.
- problem solving ability and initiative.
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

About St Vincent's Correctional Health Services (SVCHS)
St Vincent's Correctional Health services (SVCHS) provide primary health, primary mental health and subacute health care services to persons in prison. St John's is a 20 bed on-site subacute inpatient unit at Port Phillip Prison that provides assessment, treatment and specialist intervention to incarcerated men.
