About the Role
The Allied Health Clinical Education Lead will lead Allied Health Clinical Education (excluding Mental Health) at SVHM and provide expert leadership in advancing clinical education and workforce capability across the Allied Health workforce inclusive of students. This role will have a focus on interprofessional education across the Allied Health Services and includes both strategic and operational requirements.
The Allied Health Clinical Education Lead will:
- Lead the Allied Health Clinical Education team; working in partnership with Allied Health discipline-specific clinical educators and SVHM Education and Learning Program leads, and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the design and delivery of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices of Allied Health professionals, Allied Health Assistants, and Allied Health students undertaking clinical placements at SVHM.
- Design, deliver and evaluate strategic education initiatives aligned with organisational and program priorities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
Classifications for the position will be Grade 4 ($126,079 - $138,928 per annum).
Your Contribution
Your Contribution
- Qualified Allied Health Professional - registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligible for membership with the appropriate Professional Association for self-regulated Allied Health professions.
- Extensive clinical and clinical education experience in the public healthcare system.
- Proven expertise in strategic education planning, capability building and program evaluation.

This position will support Allied Health staff (excluding Mental Health) working across SVHM in the Allied Health & Pharmacy Program, Health Independence Program and St Vincent’s Virtual and at Home program. In total there are approximately 500 FTE Allied Health (headcount 650) working across SVHM. This position is based at the Fitzroy Campus of SVHM and will provide support across all SVHM sites and programs; the Allied Health Clinical Education Lead is expected to attend these sites on a regular basis.
