About the Role
Within this innovative community-based AOD service located in Papakura, South Auckland, you'll work directly with adults aged 18 and older, offering holistic support tailored to their needs and comfort. Join a close-knit and supportive whanau, dedicated to aiding individuals dealing with AOD and/or Mental health issues. As part of this model of care, you'll engage in dual peer support and a clinician approach when working with adults, contributing to the ongoing development of the care model.
- Monday – Friday, standard operating hours (8am -4.30pm)
- Smaller caseloads, ensuring personalised care plans for each of your clients
- Permanent part time role - 24 hours a week

Responsibilities
- Work within an innovative community-based AOD service in Papakura
- Provide holistic support to adults aged 18 and older
- Engage in dual peer support and a clinician approach to care
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the care model
- Implement principles of abstinence and harm reduction
- Assess AOD usage and create personalized support plans
- Collaborate with a Peer Support Specialist
Skills and Experience
- Full APC, DAPAANZ, or registration with a Professional Body covered by HCPA 2003 Act or Social Worker Registration Act 2003
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualifying experience in AOD services with adults is desirable but not essential
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient documentation and computer skills
- Commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice
- Full New Zealand driver's license
