We are offering an exceptional opportunity for an experienced nursing leader to help shape the future of Cabrini’s Day of Surgery Admissions Service. This role provides the chance to make a meaningful impact by leading a dedicated team, driving innovation, and enhancing the patient experience across the surgical journey.

Ideal for a motivated clinician ready to take the next step in their leadership career, this position draws on your perioperative or surgical nursing expertise to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centred care from admission through to surgery.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a busy preoperative admissions department, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care and an exceptional patient experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best-practice initiatives within a well-established and highly regarded service.
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team that embraces collaboration, accountability, and a positive "can-do" culture.
  • Partner with surgeons, anaesthetists, perioperative teams, and hospital leaders to optimise patient flow and support excellent surgical outcomes.

What we're looking for:

  • Current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse)
  • Victorian Working with Children Check
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in perioperative services, surgical admissions, pre-admission, or an acute care settings.
  • Strong understanding of perioperative processes, patient flow, and preparation of the pre-operative patient
  • A vision and passion for team development and professional growth
  • A commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service focus and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for participation and leading in a team environment
