We are now seeking a Bookings Officer to join our GenesisCare team with key functions of this role including:

  • Actioning SIM booking requests for all sites in SA within desired KPIs.
  • Spread treatment appointments across the week for all treatment machines.
  • Attend to and action patient/RO/treatment staff requests in a timely manner.

We currently have a casual opportunity available based at Calvary Central Districts Hospital, SA.

More specifically, you will:

  • Ensure a high level of patient service is provided including meeting patient needs, maintaining patient service levels and monitoring and reacting to patient feedback.
  • Respond to and resolve issues and provide a prompt service in line with expectations.
  • Work with colleagues and other administrative staff to achieve efficient and effective management of the patient journey throughout the Practice.
  • Book and confirm patients for Planning CT, Treatment, Nursing Review, Procedures and Consultations.
  • Have accurate and timely data entry into medical record system Mosaiq.
  • Maintain appointment diaries and take initiative to ensure sessions are fully booked.
  • Incoming call management, timely response to messages and answering of calls.
  • Participate in the identification and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
  • Work Co-operatively within a multidisciplinary team, exchange information and assist other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Demonstrated ability in an administrative role within a busy, customer focussed environment, medical preferred.
  • Ability to understand and anticipate patient needs & expectations.
  • Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle and resolve urgent matters and time critical medical appointments.
  • Proven experience to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare funding mechanisms.
  • Ability to use clinical administration systems, as well as Microsoft Office software.
  • Collaborative approach in working with the wider Administration team and other internal customers, in line with the organisations values.
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to travel between sites if required.
