We’re seeking an experienced Cancer Nurse Consultant to join our Oncology team at our Fitzroy clinic, located within St Vincent’s Hospital, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, coordinated care to our patients.

This is an opportunity for an experienced oncology nurse to step into a clinical leadership role, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families throughout their treatment journey.

More specifically, you will:

• Coordinate patient care in partnership with multidisciplinary teams, patients and their carers.
• Provide expert clinical advice and education to patients, families and healthcare professionals.
• Develop and implement evidence-based care management plans for patients with complex needs.
• Act as a key point of contact for patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Contribute to research, quality improvement initiatives and the development of clinical processes.
• Build strong relationships with referrers, healthcare providers and key stakeholders.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in oncology nursing.
• Postgraduate qualification (or working towards) in Oncology Nursing, Advanced Nursing or similar.
• Strong clinical assessment and care coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
