THE ROLE

As our client's Cardiac Services Manager, you will lead a talented team of healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional cardiac care. You'll oversee the department's operations, ensure compliance with the highest standards, and collaborate with doctors to enhance patient outcomes. Your expertise will be key in developing innovative programs and improving our clients services to meet the growing needs of their community.
This role directly manages the Coronary Care Unit and oversees the provision of cardiac services with the team. You will be responsible for managing patient flow and timely access from both the Emergency Department and an elective admission perspective.
THE ESSENTIALS
- Bachelor degree in Nursing
- Manage daily operations of the cardiac services department in a strong, effective manner
- Postgraduate qualification in critical care or cardiac care
- Previous comprehensive senior management experience within a hospital environment
- Proven experience in managing KPI datasets including monitoring of activity targets, length of stay management
- Foster a culture of excellence in patient care and safety
- Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with teams to drive innovative practices
- Provide mentorship and support to staff, ensuring professional development
- Nurture a dynamic and cohesive team
- Facilitate timely admission and demonstrate expertise in managing patient access to appropriate area
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient centered care throughout the entire process
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian Clinical Health Standards, and Quality improvement activities
- Development of strong collaborative relationships internally and externally
- Requiring a strong financial acumen, efficient labour management and supply management
