Clinical Assistant

Apex Radiology has an opportunity for a Clinical Assistant with excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills to join our team at the Peel Health Campus in Mandurah Western Australia, only 45 mins south of the Perth suburbs.

Peel Health Campus is one of 6 Apex Radiology clinics which includes Mandurah, Busselton, Margaret River, Bunbury and Perth where we provide quality high level radiology services across a full complement of modalities including CT, General X-Ray, MRI, Ultrasound and Interventional Radiology.

This is a casual role you must have the availability to pick up weekend work and weekday leave cover as a patient focused Clinical Assistant with a genuine interest in the medical imaging industry that would enjoy the exposure to radiology.

As a Clinical Assistant supporting the radiology team, you will need to have a highly motivated attitude and a strong focus on patient care to work in a team environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Radiologists and health professionals to conduct procedures in Ultrasound, CT and MRI
• Validating patient consents
• Cannulation of patients and undertaking all pathology requirements
• Cleaning to maintain high level of health standards in the department
• Liaising with hospital staff to co-ordinate the arrival of patients for their bookings

About You:

• Must be available for weekend and afternoon shifts in a hospital setting
• Healthcare experience is beneficial
• Ability to promote and maintain high standards of patient care
• Be a great communicator
• Ability to prioritise and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Love working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Commitment to continuing professional development (i.e. Cannulation Competency)

This role offers an hourly rate of circa $26.68 to $29.90 per hour plus casual loading and superannuation with an additional applicable shift and weekend penalty rates.
