About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Ultrasound Clinical Assistant to support our sonography team in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in providing exceptional patient care.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the ultrasound service by preparing rooms and equipment, assisting and coordinating clinical staff, and supporting patients throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients attending ultrasound appointments
• Provide clear instructions to patients before and after examinations
• Prepare ultrasound rooms and equipment to support efficient workflow
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe clinical environment
• Assist sonographers and Radiologists during procedures as required
• Support patient flow to ensure appointment schedules run smoothly
• Assist with administrative tasks and documentation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to infection control and safety standards

Essential Criteria

• Experience working in a healthcare, medical, or customer service environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach
• Reliable, flexible, and able to manage competing priorities
• Basic computer skills

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in ultrasound, radiology, or diagnostic imaging
• Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance, Medical Administration, or similar
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment
