About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse (Education) with a passion for clinical teaching and facilitation. Our ideal candidate will join our Education Team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba. This is a permanent, full time role of 24 hours education and then CN hours up to a total of 76 hours per fortnight.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager & Education Manager, the Clinical Nurse (Education) is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, responsible for promoting clinical excellence and staff development. This role supports the department’s vision of delivering evidence-based care through continuous learning and professional growth by addressing both organisational and learners' needs.

You will be responsible for all aspects of education and training within the clinical environment. Your responsibilities will further include providing excellent person-centred development of staff, assessment of clinical skills, assisting with clinical education events and support other education activities within the hospital in close collaboration with other members of the clinical education team.

Things that work for us:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • More than 5 years' clinical experience in relevant work area.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership abilities and strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated experience in an education or clinical facilitation role is desirable
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (current) is highly desirable
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education in a healthcare setting, or working towards same is highly desirable
