About the role:
This is a full time, 40hr/week role working mainly Mon-Fri day time shifts with the occasional evening or Saturday. You will be working within a private setting leading, managing and educating your team across surgical wards covering all cases except urology and gyny. You will have great support with 3 other leads, as well as educators and infection prevention specialists all reporting in to the patient services manager. The role will be split 80/20 clinical to admin.

What you have to do:
- Lead, manage and educate the surgical team in all cases except urology and gyny
- Provide clinically sound surgical assistance
- Ensure health and safety standards are met
- Build strong relationships within the organisation including colleagues, managers and other health professionals
- Promote culturally safe clinical practice with the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Skills and Experience:
- Current NZ Nursing Registration and APC
- Demonstrated proficiency within a surgical ward setting
- Level 3 proficiency in Professional Development Recognition Program (PDRP) or its equivalent, or progression towards level 4
- At least 5 years of New Zealand Nursing experience, with at least 3 years in ward settings
- Confirmed leadership skills in nursing leadership capacities such as Shift Coordinator or Team Leader, involving direction, delegation, and personnel management
