Join GenesisCare's Henley Beach centre, located within Western Hospital, as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. In this role, you'll provide advanced clinical care, education, and leadership while supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.
Our centre provides Medical Oncology and Haematology consulting services, along with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, bisphosphonate treatments, and iron infusions within our newly upgraded infusion suite.

More specifically, you will:
As a key member of our nursing team, you will support the delivery of safe, coordinated and patient centred care by:
- Providing advanced clinical nursing care and leadership across Medical Oncology and Haematology services
- Coordinating and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey
- Delivering education, guidance, and clinical support to patients, families, and colleagues
- Acting as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing team members
- Supporting the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based nursing practice
- Contributing to quality improvement activities, audits, and clinical governance initiatives
- Monitoring patient wellbeing, performing clinical assessments, and escalating concerns appropriately
- Collaborating closely with Medical Oncologists, Haematologists, Patient Services, Allied Health teams, and visiting specialists
- Supporting the safe administration of systemic therapies and supportive treatments in accordance with clinical protocols
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation to support continuity of care
- Participating in education, training, and professional development initiatives across the nursing team
- Championing a culture of patient centred care, safety, and continuous improvement
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
You are a passionate and experienced oncology nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum three years postgraduate nursing experience
- Significant experience in Medical Oncology, Haematology, Day Oncology, Infusion Services, or a related specialty
- Postgraduate qualifications in Oncology Nursing, Advanced Nursing, or similar highly regarded
- Experience administering systemic therapies and supportive treatments
- Strong clinical assessment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex patient care across the treatment journey
- Previous experience mentoring, supporting, or educating nursing colleagues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence
