Total Package: $486K $625K + superannuation

The role
As a Consultant in the Emergency Department, you will:
  • Deliver safe, high-quality care to ED patients and acutely unwell inpatients
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring to junior doctors
  • Support multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead or contribute to teaching, audit, quality improvement, and research
  • Help strengthen systems and processes to improve patient outcomes
About you
You are an experienced Emergency Physician who:
  • Holds FACEM (or equivalent) and is eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Has strong skills in resuscitation, airway management, and critical care
  • Is confident working in a regional or resource-variable environment
  • Enjoys mentoring and supporting junior clinicians
  • Values teamwork and collaborative care

About the service
The hospital is the regions largest hospital and a key referral centre, serving a population of over 67,000 - Youll be working in a busy, well-supported Emergency Department with strong links across the network and opportunities to contribute to service innovation. 22 treatment spaces. It has two resuscitation rooms, fast track treatment areas, multiple treatment bays, an infection isolation room, a separate paediatric area, enlarged waiting areas and a private family room.
