Consultant Emergency Medicine Leadership opportunities | Coastal Western Australia
Remuneration package: $424,525$539,140 per annum
Additional Head of Department allowance: $19,174 per annum, where applicable

Build your specialist career by the coast, with opportunities to lead, teach and shape a regional Emergency Medicine service.

CC Medical is seeking Consultant Emergency Physicians to join an established regional referral hospital in Western Australias Midwest. Opportunities are available to undertake Head of Department responsibilities or pursue a Director of Emergency Medicine Training pathway.

Permanent, fixed-term, full-time, part-time and sessional appointments are available, with flexible working arrangements and fractional FTE encouraged.
The opportunity Join a busy Emergency Department delivering specialist care across a diverse range of acute, trauma and critical care presentations. You will lead clinical decision-making, support junior doctors and assist surrounding regional hospitals through telehealth and retrieval coordination.

Recent infrastructure investment includes a contemporary, purpose-built Emergency Department, a new Intensive Care Unit and a Mental Health Inpatient Unit. Emergency facilities include:
  • Four resuscitation bays.
  • Fast Track and Ambulatory Care areas.
  • A Short Stay Unit.
  • Low-stimulus observation facilities.
  • Dedicated procedure and plaster rooms.

Work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, supported by 24/7 senior medical presence, within an ACEM, RACGP and ACRRM accredited training environment.
Leadership and professional development Make a meaningful contribution to clinical education, workforce development and service improvement.

Experienced consultants can influence departmental direction through Head of Department duties, while clinicians with a strong interest in teaching may be considered for a Director of Emergency Medicine Training pathway.

Benefits
  • Annual remuneration package of $424,525$539,140.
  • Additional Head of Department allowance of $19,174 per annum, where applicable.
  • Sessional remuneration of $817.44$1,038.13 per session.

About you You will hold FACEM or an equivalent specialist qualification, with unrestricted specialist registration in Emergency Medicine with the Medical Board of Australia.

You will also bring:
  • Senior Emergency Medicine experience within Australian healthcare settings.
  • Strong resuscitation and procedural skills.
  • Confidence managing complex presentations where subspecialty support may be limited.
  • Sound clinical judgement and a collaborative approach to leadership.
  • A commitment to teaching, mentoring and high-quality patient care.

Experience in rural emergency medicine, retrieval medicine, critical care or regional referral services will be highly regarded.
