The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Consultant ICU Specialist to join a regional Hospital that is currently undergoing an exciting multi-million-dollar transformation, which comprises of a five-storey Inpatient Unit building, expansion of the current theatre capacity, new Critical Care Unit, a state of-the-art Dialysis Unit and an extension of the current Emergency Department.
  • Must be a registered Specialist Intensive Care Physician in Australia with AHPRA
  • Hold a Fellowship of the Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand or its equivalent
  • Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Intensive Care. Sub-specialty interests strongly encouraged

This is an acute and extended care facility which provides surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care, and psychiatry services as well as extended care and regional services.

Skills & Qualifications required:
  • Current registered Specialist Intensive Care Physician with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Hold a Fellowship of the Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand or its equivalent.
  • Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Intensive Care with sub-specialty interests strongly encouraged.
  • Have demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Clinical Governance.
  • Have demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Have demonstrated commitment to high quality patient care.
  • Have demonstrated capability and interest in research
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
