This is an outstanding opportunity for a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician to join a well-established Geriatric and Rehabilitation Service delivering inpatient, ambulatory and outreach care from a modern, purpose-built rehabilitation unit.

The Hospital

• Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine
• Emergency and General Medicine
• Cardiology and Renal Medicine

The Opportunity
You will provide high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services across inpatient and ambulatory settings, supporting patients with complex medical and rehabilitation needs.
Key responsibilities include:

• Providing specialist rehabilitation assessment and treatment
• Leading and supervising an inpatient treating team
• Supporting effective patient flow, admission and discharge planning
• Working collaboratively with nursing, allied health and community services
• Supervising Registrars, Principal House Officers and junior medical staff
• Participating in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
• Contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement and research
• Participating in after-hours and on-call services as required

Exceptional Remuneration and Benefits
A total remuneration package of up to $564,939 per annum is available, depending on experience and appointment level.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold:

• Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM); or
• An overseas specialist qualification assessed as substantially comparable in Rehabilitation Medicine
• Eligibility for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
