The Role
You will provide high-quality specialist anaesthetic services within a busy and collaborative team, including:

• Delivering safe, evidence-based anaesthesia across a broad case mix
• Participation in an on-call roster (negotiable)
• Teaching and supervision of junior doctors and trainees
• Involvement in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement

Private Practice Opportunity
Unlike many roles, this position offers genuine support to establish private practice, including:

• Access to private hospital sessional rooms
• Assistance with credentialing and setup
• Introductions to local referrers and networks

The Hospital

• 247-bed public hospital with recent redevelopment
• 5-bed ICU + coronary care
• 24/7 Emergency Department
• Full surgical services including obstetrics, orthopaedics, and paediatrics

About you

• Eligible for Specialist Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Fellowship of Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
• Experience as a Consultant / Specialist Anaesthetist
• Strong commitment to teamwork, education, and patient-centred care
