The service

• 24-bed specialist adult inpatient assessment and treatment unit
• Dedicated High Dependency Unit
• Strong, experienced multidisciplinary team
• Close collaboration with community mental health services to ensure continuity of care

Youll work alongside skilled nursing staff, social workers, occupational therapists, and case managers allowing you to focus on assessment, treatment planning, clinical leadership, and supervision.

The role

• Consultant responsibility for adult inpatient care
• Clinical leadership within a supportive senior medical team
• Supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff
• Shared on-call roster
• Opportunity to contribute to service development and quality improvement

About you

• FRANZCP (or equivalent specialist qualification)
• IMGs eligible for the Expedited Specialist Pathway or assessed as substantially comparable
• Eligible for specialist registration in Australia
• Interest in adult inpatient psychiatry

UK & Irish-trained Psychiatrists with a CCST or CCT may be eligible for a streamlined pathway to specialist recognition and consultant practice in Australia.
