The Opportunity
Join a progressive and supportive mental health service delivering comprehensive specialist care to a diverse regional population of approximately 70,000 across a vast catchment in North-West Victoria.
As a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred psychiatric care across inpatient, community, and consultation-liaison settings. Youll work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team, including fellow psychiatrists and senior leadership, within a service that values collaboration, flexibility, and innovation.

The Role
  • Provide clinical leadership in psychiatric service delivery
  • Work across inpatient, community, and consultation-liaison services
  • Participate in crisis intervention and home treatment models
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement
Requirements
Who Were Looking For
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
    (or eligibility via SIMG pathway assessed as substantially comparable or meet eligibility for expedited pathway)
  • Eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Experience in acute psychiatry, crisis intervention, or community mental health (desirable)
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement
