The Role
This is a varied Consultant Anaesthetics position offering exposure across a broad range of clinical presentations and surgical specialties.
You will:

• Provide high-quality anaesthetic care across adult, paediatric and obstetric patients
• Manage a diverse range of elective and emergency surgical cases
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to the ongoing review and development of clinical practice
• Work collaboratively within an experienced multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of regional anaesthetic services

About You
We would welcome applications from:

• FANZCA-qualified Consultant Anaesthetists
• Specialists eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia/AHPRA
• Rural Generalist Anaesthetists with appropriate qualifications and experience
• Internationally trained Anaesthetists with comparable specialist qualifications who may be eligible to pursue specialist recognition in Australia

Ideally, you will bring:

• Experience providing anaesthetic services across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Confidence managing adult, paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia
• Previous regional or rural experience, although this is not essential for the right candidate
• Experience in thoracic and vascular anaesthesia would be highly regarded
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A collaborative approach and ability to establish effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
