This role offers the chance to lead and shape endocrine and diabetes services within a growing regional health service, delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient care while contributing to broader general medicine services.

The Opportunity
This position places a strong emphasis on service development, clinical leadership and improving patient outcomes in diabetes and endocrine care.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
  • Delivering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient endocrinology services
  • Supporting and strengthening general medicine services
  • Leading evidence-based improvements in diabetes care
  • Standardising clinical pathways and reducing variation in care
  • Contributing to clinical governance, education and service innovation
The Team
You will join a highly collaborative multidisciplinary Department of Medicine, working alongside specialists across a wide range of subspecialties.
The department works closely with Cardiology (24/7 Primary PCI service), Emergency Medicine (FACEM-led) and Intensive Care (CICM-led), ensuring comprehensive specialist care across the hospital.

Essential Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Endocrinology, or eligibility for Fellowship via the RACP Substantial Comparability (Specialist Pathway).
  • Eligibility for Specialist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
