Consultant/Specialist Gastroenterologist

The Role:
We are seeking Consultant/Specialist Gastroenterologist to join an enthusiastic team of medical professionals, working in a state-of-the-art hospital.

• Offers excellent schools, shopping and cultural precincts, sporting facilities and various tertiary facilities.
• A population over 100,000, located only 150 kms from Melbourne.
• 1 hour 25 minutes from Tullamarine International flights (Melbourne) airport.
• The local Airport is about to be expanded and currently runs daily return flights direct to Sydney.
• 700 Beds
• One of Victorias fastest growing regional cities making it a great city to live and work in.
• On-going positions full time or part time can be negotiated.
• Current registration as a Specialist in Gastroenterology with the Medical Board of Australia or equivalent in countries with substantially comparable training as assessed by RACP have a RACP interview date.

TOTAL Salary package up to $500,000

The Department of Medicine covers Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Respiratory Medicine, and General Medicine. There are separate directorates for Geriatrics and Rehabilitation, Oncology, Cardiology and Renal Medicine. These last other specialties have full functioning teams Monday to Friday and variable out-of-hours cover that includes the Medical Registrar and HMOs from General Medicine contributing to emergency cover arrangements.

This is a 700-bed teaching hospital offering a suite of medical services, catering for a population of more than 240,000. The hospital provides services in the areas of aged care, cancer care, elective surgery, maternity, rehabilitation, and mental health.
