The Role
You will provide comprehensive specialist geriatric care within a regional centre hospital. The position combines clinical excellence with leadership, education, and quality improvement.
Youll:
- Deliver specialist assessment and management of complex geriatric patients
- Lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Support and mentor JMOs, medical students, nursing, and allied health staff
- Contribute to research, teaching, and service development
- Participate in an on-call roster
What Were Looking For
- Eligibility for registration as a Specialist Geriatrician with the Medical Board of Australia (or via an overseas-trained pathway)
- Strong experience in geriatric medicine, ideally within a regional or mixed-service hospital
- Commitment to teaching, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary care
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
