An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Interventional Cardiologist to become part of a modern, expanding cardiac service delivering comprehensive specialist care to a population of approximately 190,000.

Comprehensive Interventional Cardiology
You'll have access to a fully equipped Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory featuring:

• Modern catheterisation suite with IVUS, OCT and Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
• 24/7 Primary PCI service
• Coronary angiography and coronary intervention
• Permanent pacemaker implantation
• Dedicated 8-bed Coronary Care Unit

Advanced Cardiac Imaging
The department offers an extensive range of non-invasive imaging including:

• Transthoracic Echocardiography
• 3D Transoesophageal Echocardiography (TOE)
• Stress Echocardiography
• Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography
• CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA)
• On-site Cardiac MRI

Additional services include Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, exercise stress testing and cardiac event recorders.

Strong Multidisciplinary Support
The service benefits from:

• Weekly Heart Team meetings with cardiothoracic surgeons
• Established Heart Failure and Medication Titration Service
• Dedicated Chest Pain Short Stay Unit
• Close collaboration with tertiary cardiac centres

Teaching & Leadership
This is an excellent opportunity for cardiologists who enjoy teaching and mentoring.
The department is RACP accredited for Advanced Cardiology Training and currently supports:

• Advanced Trainees
• Principal House Officers
• Junior Medical Officers
• Interns

You'll play an important role in:

• Clinical supervision and mentoring
• Registrar and medical student education
• Quality improvement initiatives
• Clinical governance
• Research and service development
• Patient safety and audit activities
