The Role:
Applications are invited from Consultant/Specialists - Nephrology holding a FRACP or equivalent and registrable in Victoria with AHPRA.

The Hospital currently has 6 Physicians on staff with specialities including Gastroenterology, Oncology, Geriatrics, Cardiology and General Medicine. Junior support from Registrars, HMOs and interns.
In a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment, the Staff Specialist provides high quality renal services including inpatient care, inpatient/outpatient consulting service, management of chronic kidney disease, kidney biopsy, dialysis (facility haemodialysis, peritoneal and home haemodialysis), and management of chronic transplant patients.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The Hospital is a new facility with 178 beds, including medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, emergency, intensive care, and rehabilitation that service a population of approximately 80,000 people.
The medical unit has up to 32 beds with an additional 8 beds in the ICU/HDU.
The Location:
A city with breathtaking natural beauty, a Mediterranean climate, and excellent pubs, resorts, golf clubs and historic hotels. All of this is located on the region's life source - the wide, ceaselessly flowing Murray River.

- FRACP (or ability to gain) with sub-speciality in nephrology
- Significant experience in specialty within a public hospital
- Evidence of willingness to continued participation in quality assurance activities
