The Health Service
As the major healthcare provider, the service delivers comprehensive acute, maternity, surgical and specialist services to the broader Gippsland community.
The hospital manages approximately:

• 12,000 acute admissions annually
• 17,000 Emergency Department presentations annually
• Comprehensive maternity and women's health services
• Critical Care Unit with ventilation and haemofiltration capabilities
• Visiting specialist services across multiple disciplines

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist seeking a broad scope of practice in a supportive regional environment.
You will:

• Provide specialist obstetric and gynaecology services across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage antenatal clinics and maternity services
• Participate in on-call and emergency obstetric care
• Deliver high-quality gynaecological care and procedures
• Support the development of contemporary, woman-centred maternity models of care
• Provide leadership and supervision to junior medical staff, midwives and nursing teams
• Contribute to education, audit, quality improvement and clinical governance activities
• Participate in outreach services where required

About You
To be considered you will have:

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), or
• A positive RANZCOG specialist assessment confirming suitability for a consultant position
• Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia / AHPRA
• Commitment to patient-centred care and multidisciplinary teamwork
• Strong communication, leadership and teaching skills
