If you're a Consultant/Specialist Psychiatrist looking for an opportunity within a progressive regional mental health service, this is an exceptional chance to join one of Victoria's largest regional health services.
Working within the Acute Response Team, you'll provide specialist clinical leadership across crisis assessment and short-term intervention services while helping shape the future of integrated mental health care across the region.

The Opportunity
This is a rewarding role where you'll combine direct clinical care with service development, multidisciplinary leadership, teaching and supervision.
You'll work closely with Emergency Medicine, inpatient mental health services, community teams, Ambulance Victoria, Victoria Police and a broad network of community agencies to ensure patients receive timely, high-quality mental health care.

This is the major referral health service for northern Victoria and is currently undertaking a $229 million redevelopment, significantly expanding emergency, intensive care, theatre, medical and women's & children's services.
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Service has recently undergone major transformation following the Victorian Royal Commission into Mental Health, creating innovative age-based service streams and expanding opportunities for Psychiatrists to influence future models of care.

What We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from Consultant Psychiatrists who are:

• Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or working towards eligibility)
• Fellows of the RANZCP or equivalent overseas specialist qualification
• Passionate about acute psychiatry and multidisciplinary teamwork
• Interested in teaching, mentoring and clinical leadership
• Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred mental health care

Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) are encouraged to enquire.
