Permanent part time position (2-3 shifts per week, rotating)
Cabrini Malvern
$28.65 per hour + 12.5% super

How you will make an impact
Cabrini’s Customer Service department plays a key role in supporting communication activity across the hospital and we’re here when people need us from 6AM to 11PM, 365 days a year. We recognise that customer service delivery is integral to patient satisfaction, clinical efficiency and performance.

Our Customer Service Officers operate as part of a busy switchboard and also provide support in a customer-facing capacity at Cabrini's information stations throughout the hospital. As a Customer Service Officer, you will provide a professional service, both in person and over the phone, whilst upholding our values of compassion, integrity, courage, and respect in all interactions.

Permanent part time hours are available for the successful applicant and flexibility is required to work a variety of shifts throughout the week.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering inbound telephone calls from patients and the community
  • Responding to caller queries or transferring calls as required
  • Welcoming patients and visitors to the hospital, responding to their queries and providing directions
  • Other general administration and communication tasks to support and assist the Customer Services team


You will have:
The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable and have a flair for making exceptional first impressions and engaging with a diverse range of people.

You will display:

  • The capacity to absorb information quickly, and apply it as required in a timely manner
  • Sound problem-solving skills
  • A proactive nature, providing the best solution rather than the easy one
  • An ability to apply discretion, empathy, and respect when interacting with patients and families
  • The ability to maintain composure in a busy and sometimes challenging customer service environment
