Dietitian - Grade 3 Team Leader

About the Role
This Dietitian Grade 3 Team Leader is responsible for providing high quality, dietetic management and leadership for older patients across St Vincent’s, including General Medicine and Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) units, and other units and services as directed/delegated. This position also provides day to day General Medicine triage assist for junior dietitians. This position is based at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne - four days per week at the Fitzroy campus, and one day per week at the St George’s Hospital Kew campus.

Duties

  • Caseload - Bed Based Transition Care, General Medicine and ACE / other units as delegated
  • Clinical team leader
  • Portfolio leadership
  • Staff support and supervision, including Grade 1 clinical practice support program
  • Management Team Membership

Classifications for this position will range from classification range Dietitian Grade 3 Year 1 - 4 AK1 - AK4 ($104,301 - $121,477 per annum)

Your Contribution

  • Qualifications providing eligibility for full membership of DA and the APD program
  • Minimum of seven years’ post-graduate experience in a relevant field of clinical dietetics
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise through knowledge of research, new developments and evidence-based practice in discipline specific and related areas.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills that incorporate the qualities of excellent communication and leadership
  • Previous work experience across acute, sub acute and residential aged care settings will be highly regarded
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

The Nutrition Department
The Nutrition Department provides Nutrition & Dietetics services to all areas of SVHM including acute and sub-acute inpatients, designated outpatient clinics, St George’s Hospital and the community Residential Care Facilities. The Nutrition Department is a core placement site for the clinical supervision of Nutrition and Dietetic students and has several research interests.
