About the Role
The Director of Emergency Medicine provides strategic, clinical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred emergency care.
Working closely with executive leadership, you will lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team, strengthen clinical capability, and support the ongoing development of emergency medicine services.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and managing the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Overseeing clinical governance, quality, safety and risk management
  • Managing workforce planning, recruitment, rostering and performance of medical staff
  • Driving service improvement, innovation and patient-flow optimisation
  • Building strong partnerships with internal teams, regional services and external stakeholders
  • Supporting education, training and professional development across the department
About You
We are seeking a collaborative, motivated and visionary Emergency Medicine leader.

You will have:
  • MBBS or equivalent, with full AHPRA registration
  • Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, including leadership within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead change, improve systems and achieve operational outcomes
  • A commitment to patient-centred care, quality improvement and clinical excellence
