Disability Support Worker

About this role:

Seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide community access, domestic assistance and social support to our client in Fitzgibbon in Northern Brisbane. During this shift you will take the client, and sometimes her children as well, to outings in the community (shopping, medical appointments, school pick up & drop off etc.)

Shifts are available at the following times:

• Monday - Friday 07:30 - 10:30
• Monday - Friday 15:00 - 18:00

Please be aware that due to the personal nature of the tasks required to support this particular client they have a strong preference for female care staff.

What you need to have:

• Australian drivers licence and a reliable vehicle for taking client out in the community
• Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support or Individual Support or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months experience in Australia or reciprocal country
• Current First Aid Certificate & CPR certificate
• Current NDIS Worker Screening
• Working with childrens check (blue card) as the client has children

• Able to engage well with children
