Disability Support Workers- Shoalhaven

Nursing Australia is currently seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team in the Shoalhaven region. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients while working with a trusted agency with over 35 years of experience.

About the Role

You will be supporting two clients (one male and one female) in a community-based and home setting, providing person-centred care and promoting independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mental health support
• Community access (appointments, social outings, activities)
• Domestic assistance (cleaning, meal preparation, household tasks)
• Medication assistance
• Personal care (limited)

Available Shifts

Male Client:

• Monday to Friday: 9:30am – 3:30pm
• Weekends: 9:00am – 11:00am

Female Client:

• Monday to Sunday roster:
• 6:00am – 2:00pm
• 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Sleepover shifts included

Essential Requirements

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
• Current National Criminal Record Check
• Certificate III or IV in Disability/ Individual support /Aged Care
• Current First Aid Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation module
• Minimum of 6 months full time experience working in Disability
• Experience in disability support, mental health, or similar
• Medication competency (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
