Nursing Australia is currently seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team in the Shoalhaven region. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients while working with a trusted agency with over 35 years of experience.
About the Role
You will be supporting two clients (one male and one female) in a community-based and home setting, providing person-centred care and promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mental health support
- Community access (appointments, social outings, activities)
- Domestic assistance (cleaning, meal preparation, household tasks)
- Medication assistance
- Personal care (limited)
Available Shifts
Male Client:
- Monday to Friday: 9:30am – 3:30pm
- Weekends: 9:00am – 11:00am
Female Client:
- Monday to Sunday roster:
- 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Sleepover shifts included
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
- Current National Criminal Record Check
- Certificate III or IV in Disability/ Individual support /Aged Care
- Current First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation module
- Minimum of 6 months full time experience working in Disability
- Experience in disability support, mental health, or similar
- Medication competency (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
