Our Client is seeking a dedicated Dual Midwife to join our team. As a Dual Midwife, you'll provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers, from prenatal to postnatal stages, ensuring their journey into motherhood is safe, empowering, and memorable. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care and support to our patients.
Responsibilities of a Dual Midwife:
- Provide holistic care to women throughout their pregnancy, Labor, and postpartum period.
- Conduct prenatal assessments, monitor fetal development, and offer guidance on nutrition, exercise, and childbirth education.
- Support women during Labor, providing comfort measures, pain relief techniques, and advocating for their birth preferences.
- Facilitate breastfeeding initiation and provide lactation support to new mothers.
- Perform postpartum assessments, offer newborn care guidance, and assist with any breastfeeding challenges.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and babies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

What we require from you:
- APHRA registration
- Bachelor’s Or Masters + Graduate qualification as A registered Nurse & midwifery
- Clinical Skills and experience relevant to Registered Nurse & midwifery
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Bachelor’s Or Masters
- Triage Certificate / ALS (desirable)
- Current National Police Check & Working with Children’s Check
- Respect cultural diversity and demonstrate cultural competence in providing culturally sensitive care to women from diverse backgrounds, ensuring inclusively and equity in service delivery.
- Exhibit strong critical thinking abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions, assess risks, and manage emergencies effectively during labor and childbirth.
