Education Consultant (Peri-operative and Peri-anaesthetics)

Are you passionate about elevating nursing practice in the operating theatre? This is your chance to join our education team, to lead innovation and education across this clinical speciality.

This senior leadership permanent part time role (0.8 EFT) will support our four acute sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Werribee and Kew.

What you'll be doing (the exciting stuff!)

• Lead a team of peri-operative and peri-anaesthetic clinical coaches across our network of private hospitals
• Identify learning gaps and create innovative solutions
• Deliver specialised education that transforms nursing practice
• Support our staff and diverse learners - from postgraduate students to enrolled and registered nurse graduates
• Champion professionalism and foster collaborative teamwork through a multi-disciplinary approach

What we’re looking for (are you our perfect match?)

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 8 years’ experience with a solid understanding of current peri-operative/peri-anaesthetics nursing practices and challenges.
• Proven experience supporting diverse nursing learners
• Previous experience in a clinical education or leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to design and deliver educational programs
• Passion for education and mentoring excellence
• Innovation mindset and collaborative spirit
• High level of integrity, honesty and commitment
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in patient care
• Proficiency in using digital platforms and educational technology.
• Post-graduate qualification in either Peri-operative or Peri-anaesthetic Nursing
• Ability to work flexibly (willing to travel across all four sites)
