How you will make an impact
Cabrini’s Patient Services function is integral to patient satisfaction, clinical efficiency and financial performance. In striving for excellence in all that we do, Cabrini Health is seeking an experienced administration professional with strong leadership skills and clear direction to join our Emergency Department.

As our ED Clerical Team Leader, you will work collaboratively with the Patient Services Operational Performance Manager to ensure the effective management of the administration functions of the ED department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical training and education of ED Clerical staff
  • Building staff rosters, assigning work areas and allocating coverage to achieve effective and efficient work performance
  • An ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Managing escalations from ED Clerical staff, such as complex eligibility assessment, patient feedback and other health insurance matters


About you
You will be a caring, patient focussed team member with a commitment to process improvement. You will also have the following:

  • Relevant work experience in a hospital or medical practice, with previous experience leading a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships working collaboratively with colleagues and peers
  • Excellent computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • An understanding of the Australian private health insurance system
  • An understanding of the Medicare billing system
  • Previous experience in Patient Management system webPAS (desirable)
  • Previous experience in Medical Director and Pracsoft (desirable)
