You will provide high-quality emergency medical care as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team while gaining exposure to a diverse range of adult and mixed emergency presentations.
The department features:
- 21 acute treatment bays
- Two resuscitation bays
- Four high-dependency bays
- 12 consultation bays
- A dedicated 14-bed Short Stay Unit
- Broad regional, rural and coastal referral exposure
- Excellent clinical supervision and education
Accredited Emergency Medicine Training
This is an excellent opportunity for doctors seeking recognised emergency medicine training and career progression.
The department is accredited for:
- ACEM Specialist Fellowship Training
- ACEM Tier 3 Training up to 12 months
- ACEM Foundational, Intermediate and Advanced Associateship programs
- ACRRM Advanced Skills Training
- RACGP Core Generalist Training
To be considered, you will generally require:
- A recognised medical degree
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- At least four years of postgraduate clinical experience
- Previous emergency medicine or acute-care experience
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- A commitment to clinical education and continuous improvement
