About the Role

You will be an important member of our Medical Imaging department by ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred care to all our patients. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to provide effective and efficient evidence-based care, whilst also demonstrating commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.



Full time Nuclear Medicine fellowship (5 days).

Your role will allow you

  • To develop the knowledge base, clinical competencies, practical procedure skills, research basics and self-education habits, with emphasis on the specific fellowship.
  • To undertake radiological service delivery to the Department's patients, consulting service to external clinical units, intra- and extra-Departmental teaching under the supervision of Consultant Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine staff.
  • By the end of the year, progressively develop professional independence appropriate to the level of a Consultant, in particular related to the fellowship area.
  • To participate in the afterhours registrar roster on weekend days or evening shift under the supervision of Consultant Radiologist staff.
  • Participate in clinical multidisciplinary and educational meetings under the supervision of Consultant Radiologist and / or Nuclear Medicine Physician / Specialist.
  • To develop academic and research skills as appropriate to own inclinations and the academic program in the Department, and to contribute to the academic effort of the Department and of St Vincent's Health.



Classifications for this position will range from HM25 - HM30 ($129,048.40 - $177,622.12 pro rata per annum) + salary sacrifice and excluding super



What You’ll Bring

  • Formal Education: Medical Degree from a medical school recognised in Australia.
  • Registration: Registration with Medical Board of Australia (current or eligible)
  • Knowledge & Experience: FRANZCR or FRACP qualified radiologist or equivalent.
    • Demonstrated experience of successfully working in a clinical team.
    • Managerial and organisational skills sufficient to contribute to a team.
    • Values and attitude.
    • Personal values as expressed through demonstrated behaviour and personal track record are concordant with St Vincent’s Health values of compassion, justice, integrity and excellence.
    • Demonstrated commitment to Nuclear Medicine for positive motivational reasons.
    • Track record of contribution in prior work areas over and above minimal required to complete workload.



About Medical Imaging

Medical Imaging at St Vincent’s Hospital is provided by a comprehensive, integrated PACS based department, including Nuclear Medicine, and offers all diagnostic and general/neuroradiology interventional procedures. St Vincent’s Private Radiology is a separate co-located private practice offering all diagnostic modalities to inpatients of St. Vincent’s Private Hospital and privately referred outpatients. SVPR also provides the imaging services and requirements to the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.



There are 3 MRI units, 6 multi-slice CTs, 10 Ultrasound machines, 4 gamma cameras with SPECT/CT, PET/CT, Cardiac CT, cone beam CT, biplane angiography, digital tomography and fluoroscopy across the Campus.
