Client Description

District general hospital in the mid-west region of Western Australia. Serving a population of almost 9,000. It has a busy Emergency Department and a newly built maternity and obstetric facility and there are a large number of visiting specialists who are at the hospital regularly. The hospital supports a rotation practice for students, allowing movement through a variety of medical specialities and also offers the opportunity to work in the close by General Practice and Aboriginal Medical Services centre, where students will learn to appreciate the cultural sensitivity required to work with indigenous people.
