About the Role

The Prosthetics and Orthotics Department at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) has an exciting opportunity for a motivated dual-practicing clinician to develop their acute patient management skills within a leading tertiary hospital setting.

This supported role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or an early-career clinician seeking to broaden their scope of practice and gain exposure to complex acute and rehabilitation presentations.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Delivering best-practice prosthetic and orthotic care, with a strong focus on acute inpatient management
• Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes
• Assisting in the delivery of the interim prosthetic rehabilitation program

Classification & Remuneration
This position is classified between CO7 – CP2 ($70,590.00 - $85,872.80) with remuneration commensurate with experience.

Your Contribution

• Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics (or equivalent)
• Membership with the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA)
• Current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain

About The Prosthetics and Orthotics Department

The Prosthetic and Orthotic Department at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) is primarily based at the Fitzroy campus, however also operates clinics out of St George’s Health Service (SGHS) in Kew. The growing team provides an extensive range of services across acute, subacute, outpatient and community settings and is a registered NDIS provider.
