Grade 2 Registered Nurse

The GEM Unit offers specialised care of older people, with a focus on comprehensive interdisciplinary assessment and management of medical, physical, psychological and social issues associated with the ageing process.

Our unit is located at St Georges Hospital in the Kew. Our nursing team is pivotal to the success of the broader, high performing interdisciplinary team, achieving ambitious outcomes while supporting the flow of patients throughout the broader organisation. We are a vital part of SVHM’s Subacute & Community Services, a key clinical program of SVHM and the broader St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA) Public Hospital division.

As a Registered Nurse, you will:
· Work with a collaborative, supportive, and highly functioning interdisciplinary team
· Lead and develop exceptional clinical nursing practices
· Provide exceptional holistic care to older persons, with a strong focus on supporting the patient throughout their journey

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse with a background in sub-acute or acute care. Demonstrating collaborative care, a positive work attitude and excellence in practice, you will thrive on the unique and varied needs of our patient cohort, striving to provide the highest standard of care.

In addition to your experience, you will have:
· Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
· A passion and dedication to providing exceptional care to older persons
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate and engage with all members of the interdisciplinary team
· Previous clinical experience is desirable
