DARWIN Intensive Care Unit RNs
Excellent PAYG ratesup to $100 per hour for weekday shifts!

Expressions of interest are now open for start dates throughout September, October and November 2026.
Requirements

• Ideally, at least two years of consolidated ICU experience
• ALS, Cannulation/venepuncture, ventilation skills
• Tertiary Intensive Care experiencehighly regarded

Contract options

Four to six weeks or six to 12 weeks
Extensions are commonly available
Leave dates can be requested within your contract
Complete 12 weeks of full-time work and receive a $2,000 bonus

PAYG benefits

Up to $100 per hour for weekday shifts at RN8
Weekend and shift penalties
Superannuation paid in addition
On-call allowance10% of the applicable base rate
In-charge allowanceup to $100 per shift
Overtime while on call paid at 1.5 to 2 times the applicable shift rate

ABN contractor rates

• RN8+: $118 per hour, inclusive of GST and super

Travel, accommodation and expenses
Return flights to Darwin reimbursed up to $1,200claimable once every six months
Up to $616 per week toward accommodation and eligible expenses if you are not using onsite accommodation
Funds may also be used toward car hire, Uber and other eligible expenses
Accommodation currently averages approximately $316$600 per week, potentially leaving around $100-$300 per week for other eligible expenses.
Eligible PAYG staff may also benefit from LAFHA tax savings through our payroll partner, GNA. Our average eligible employee receives approximately 16.6% more in take-home payoften an additional $400$500 or more per pay. Individual benefits will depend on personal circumstances and eligibility.

Role: Registered Nurse ICU - up to $69 per hour base rate

WAGGA WAGGA BASE HOSPITAL
Role: Registered Nurse Intensive Care - up to $69 per hour base rate
Dates: ASAP 812 weeks
Duration: 812 weeks

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience
• ALS2 Ventilator experience

LISMORE BASE HOSPITAL
Role: ICU Registered Nurse - up to $69 per hour base rate
Dates: From 31 August
Duration: Minimum 4 weeks

• Current ICU experience required

SOUTH EAST REGIONAL HOSPITAL, BEGA
Role: ICU Registered Nurse - up to $69 per hour base rate
Dates: 14 September 8 October
Duration: Approx. 4 weeks

MANNING BASE HOSPITAL
Role: ICU / HDU Registered Nurse - up to $69 per hour base rate
Dates: August / September
Duration: 612 weeks

• Own vehicle required
• 24/7 coverage
• Private apartment / motel accommodation
• CC Medical covers all petrol costs

MANNING BASE HOSPITAL
Role: Registered Nurse ICU / CCU - up to $69 per hour base rate
Dates: 14 September 2026
Duration: Not specified

• Must be driving to site
• No onsite accommodation
• Local motels used

TAMWORTH HOSPITAL
Role: Registered Nurse ICU / HDU / CCU - up to $69 per hour base rate
Dates: 21 September 2026
Duration: Min 6 weeks

• 24/7 medical coverage
• Large regional hospital
• Shared onsite nursing quarters

ADDITIONAL NSW PAYMENTS AND ALLOWANCESFurther increases and back pay are still to be implemented.

• Postgraduate Certificate allowance: $52.10 per week
• Postgraduate Diploma allowance: $78.40 per week
• Masters qualification allowance: $94.10 per week
• Laundry allowance: $8.32 per week
• Uniform and footwear allowance: $13.06 per week
• RN/RM in charge of ward: $44.79 per shift
• On-call allowance: minimum $39.20, then $4.90 per hour thereafter
• On-call allowance on an RDO: minimum $78.16, then $9.77 per hour thereafter
• On call during a meal break: $19.28 per break

Eligibility depends on the applicable award, Local Health District, role and roster.
BEST LOCAL HEALTH DISTRICTS FOR ALLOWANCES

• Western NSW: Up to $1,155 per week, tax-free with eligible receipts
• Southern NSW: Up to $1,067 per week, tax-free with eligible receipts
• Murrumbidgee NSW: Up to $128 per eligible shiftapproximately $512$896 per week

Allowance eligibility varies by facility. Wagga Wagga and Griffith Base Hospital may not attract the same Murrumbidgee expense allowances, so this should be confirmed before accepting a contract.
ACCOMMODATION OPTIONSDepending on the location, options may include:

• Onsite accommodation in private, lockable dormitory-style rooms
• Some rooms include a balcony and sink
• Up to $200 per week in reimbursement for eligible out-of-pocket expenses with receipts
• Up to $616 per week toward private offsite accommodation and eligible expenses at selected locations

Our CC Medical staff consistently provide excellent feedback about these locations, including supportive teams, friendly communities and social activities such as lawn bowls, quiz nights and group dinners. There is also plenty of beautiful regional and outback scenery to explore.
