Are you an experienced Instrument Technician looking for flexibility, variety, and purpose in your next role? St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is currently recruiting for passionate and skilled Instrument Technicians to join our casual Resource Unit team, supporting our Central Sterilising Departments.


In this vital role, you will play an essential part in supporting our surgical teams by ensuring the preparation, sterilisation, and availability of consumables and surgical instrumentation needed for safe and effective patient care.


You will bring your passion to the role where you will work to support the surgical teams with preoperative preparation of consumables and/or surgical instrumentation required for surgical procedures.

ABOUT YOU:

As an outstanding Instrument Technician specialising in surgical setups, you are known for your clear communication, precision, and ability to thrive in a dynamic surgical environment. You take pride in ensuring every detail is accounted for, and you adapt seamlessly to the evolving needs of the operating theatre.

You’ll bring to the role:

• A solid understanding of surgical terminology and theatre workflows
  
• Proficiency in IT systems to track and identify setup requirements
  
• Strong organisation and time management skills, aligned to surgical schedules
  
• Knowledge of surgical consumables and instrumentation (highly regarded)
  
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills essential to team success
  
• Flexibility to work across multiple SVPHM sites, with a reputation for being adaptable and reliable
