About the Role
You will lead the delivery of high-quality support services across St George's Health Service (approx. 80 beds) and Berengarra Residential Aged Care, providing strategic and operational leadership across food services, environmental services and site support to ensure safe, efficient and person-centred hospitality services that enhance the experience of patients and residents. Working closely with clinical and operational leaders, you will drive service excellence, champion continuous improvement and play a key role in shaping innovative, high-performing support service.
- Lead and manage Food Services, Cleaning, Laundry, Waste Management and Gardens across the St George's campus and Berengarra.
- Oversee daily operational performance, staffing, rostering, budgets and contractor management to deliver high-quality, efficient services. (approx. 60 FTE)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, sustainability projects and best practice across all support service functions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, infection prevention, accreditation and Aged Care Quality Standards while identifying opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to optimise service delivery and operational performance.
- Manage budgets, workforce planning and resources to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services.
Classifications for this position will range from HS4 – HS29 ($83,657 - $92,482 per annum)
Your Contribution
- Qualifications in Hospitality Management, Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification, together with a current Food Safety Supervisor Certification.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within healthcare, aged care or hospitality services, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a complex operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, quality standards and service improvement, with experience driving operational performance and standardisation.
- Proven experience in workforce management, including rostering, workflow coordination, people leadership and financial management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet operational deadlines.
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain.
