Are you looking to advance your career in Medical Oncology within a highly regarded multidisciplinary cancer centre that combines outstanding clinical exposure, research excellence and an enviable lifestyle?
We are seeking an Advanced Trainee, Career Medical Officer (CMO) or Senior Medical Practitioner (SMP) to join a comprehensive regional cancer service based within a major 300-bed Rural Referral Hospital. Bringing together Medical Oncology, Haematology and Radiation Oncology under one roof, this modern service delivers exceptional patient care while providing outstanding opportunities for professional development.
Why Families Love Living Here
This thriving regional city offers everything you need for an exceptional quality of life. Families benefit from a wide choice of high-quality public, Catholic and independent schools, including selective academic programs, making it an excellent place to raise children. The city is also home to tertiary education options and strong pathways for ongoing learning.
Despite its regional setting, you'll enjoy excellent connectivity with multiple daily flights to Sydney, regular coach and rail services, and easy road access to major centres, making travel for work or visiting family simple and convenient. Public transport and school bus networks service the surrounding suburbs and regional communities, making commuting straightforward for families.
With short commute times and a welcoming community, you'll have more time to enjoy life outside the hospital.
The Opportunity
You'll become part of a collaborative and supportive oncology team comprising experienced Consultant Medical Oncologists, dedicated junior medical staff and specialist nursing teams. Working across outpatient and inpatient services, you'll gain broad experience in systemic therapies, multidisciplinary cancer management and complex oncology care.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a service that values education, mentorship and clinical excellence while maintaining an excellent work-life balance with no after-hours on-call commitment.
Why You'll Love This Role
Be part of an award-winning clinical research unit actively involved in clinical trials and translational research. You'll be encouraged to:
Spend less time commuting and more time doing what you enjoy, while remaining well connected to major metropolitan centres through regular flights.
