At GenesisCare Western Australia we have a new opportunity for a Medical Physics Specialist to join our team at our Perth Fiona Stanley Hospital and/or adjacent Murdoch location – literally across the carpark from each other!

As a Medical Physics Specialist, you will be responsible for the provision of clinical physics and QA services that ensure safe and effective radiotherapy for our patients. Murdoch and Fiona Stanley are proud to provide radiotherapy services via our Unity MR-Linac, five Elekta linacs, two equipped with C-Rad and one with Brainlab Dynamic SGRT systems, and two CT scanners, with access to MRI, PET and SPECT CT services. Fiona Stanley provides an active HDR brachytherapy service utilising Nucletron/Flexitron kit, and our new XStrahl SXRT unit is also busy. Two linacs will be replaced at Fiona Stanley in the coming 12 months.

Your primary areas of responsibility and activity will be agreed in consultation with Chief Physicist David Waterhouse and site lead physicist, Katrina Biggerstaff. We would like you to utilise your existing strengths and take advantage of the opportunities we can offer to grow your expertise and experience.

GenesisCare Physics is a well-connected network with more than 60 qualified team members. Our work with MIM CPAI and Monaco planning automation continue to provide great opportunities within our team.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Certification in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (ACPSEM, IPEM, HCPC, ABR, ABMP, CCPM, IMPCB).
