We are seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Patient Services Officer (Medical Receptionist) to join our team across our Adelaide clinics in a full-time role on a 12-month contract. In this patient-facing position, you will play a key role in delivering administrative support to both clients and staff, while maintaining a professional, caring, and approachable manner in a dynamic healthcare environment. As the first point of contact for our patients, your ability to build rapport and create a welcoming experience is essential to making their visit a positive one.

More specifically, you will:
- Work in an administrative role where customer focus is the top priority.
- Act as the first point of contact to patients and provide excellent customer service both face to face and over the phone.
- Adapt to and manage an environment where there is ongoing change and competing priorities.
- Book and confirm patients for appointments and consultations.
- Billing and receipting at time of appointment.
- Accurately process relevant paperwork including data entry.
- Ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
- Continuously liaise with the team to ensure efficient processes.
- Manage patient records and filing of patient notes.
- Be required to work across all four Adelaide sites.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
- May have previous medical industry experience.
- Eager to learn new systems and applications for managing patient and Doctor requests.
- Demonstrate ability to provide ongoing patient care and customer service.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Have previous experience working individually or as part of a team.
- Possess knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare mechanisms would be highly valued.
- Have exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient inquiries.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Are flexible with their approach to work and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
