About the Role

• You will assist the Transfusion Laboratory in supporting the Rapid Access Hub.
  
  
• You will satisfy set learning goals and improve pathology transfusion services with competence in all aspects of Transfusion Science by compliance with relevant current Australian Standards, Legislation and following Haematology department and hospital policies.
  
  
• You will work in some sections of the Haematology laboratory and be responsible for the processing of specimens according to established laboratory procedures and issuing of results relevant to these specimens.

Classifications for this position will range from RX2-RX7 ($66,908.4 - $89,986 per annum, pro rata).

Your Contribution

• Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science or equivalent
  
  
• Competence in Immunohaematology and pre-transfusion testing
  
  
• Sound knowledge of clinical haematology and it’s practical applications
  
  
• Competence in interpreting blood transfusion
  
  
• Competence in haematological results and blood film examination an advantage
  
  
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
  
  
• Good time management skills
  
  
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
