Mental Health Clinician

About the Role

We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician (MHC) to be part of an Older Adult Mental Health Community Team, the Healthy Ageing Service (HAS). As a MHC, you will deliver mental health care to older adults with mild to moderate mental illness living in Boroondara, Banyule, Nillumbik, Whittlesea, part of Murrindindi and part of Mitchell Shire.

• Provide discipline specific services.
• Provide support and advocacy for consumers and families within a Strengths based model of care.
• Participate in community development activities including liaison, consultation, and education of other professionals, consumer groups and community agencies.

Classifications for this position will range from:

• OT/SW Grade 2 YB20 - YB23 or YC42 - YC45 ($86,304 - $99,210 per annum pro rata)
• Psychologist Grade 2 PK1 - PK4 ($90,812 - $102,757 per annum pro rata)
• RPN Grade 3 NP81 - NP74 ($99,439 - $110,432 per annum pro rata)

Your Contribution

• Tertiary level qualification in either Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Clinical Psychology
• Current registrations with AHPRA (if applicable)
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
• Experience in Mental Health
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Aged Person’s Mental Health

Comprises an inpatient service (Normanby Unit), community acute outreach service (Aged Psychiatry Assessment and Treatment Team (APATT), Residential Support Program (RSP), Intensive Community Team (ICT), Healthy Ageing Service (HAS)) and residential care (Psychogeriatric Nursing Homes (PGNH)).
